Expanded Profile Options

One of the many features of PageBuildr is social networking - building an online community by making new friends, and reconnecting with old ones. In order to make PageBuildr's networking features both more fun and more useful, we've just relaunched the "Profile" area of PageBuildr.

Now you can specify much more information about yourself, including:

  • Your gender, birth date and hometown
  • Your relationship status, and what sort of new relationships you're interested in
  • Different forms of contact information, so people can get a hold of you
  • Your activities, interests and favorites
  • Post a photo of yourself using our new, easier to use wizard
And your real name is still not displayed anywhere on PageBuildr, so you can do all of this anonymously - unless you choose to post your name yourself.

Any information you enter for your profile will automatically be added to your Profile page for others to view.  There's also an area for "Recent Updates", so visitors can see what changes you've made recently and check 'em out.

Props on this new feature. The fck editor and the csv fields such as favorite this or that seems kind of scary to me. While I enjoy the wysiwyg features on the site the fck editor is really, really slow loading, infact is always the last thing to load on the page. I think there could be more fields using it less. (at least the fields for my favorite books ect.)

All the javascript type stuff is where things slow down the most, advertising, fck editor ect.
