Sheboygan, WI is the future home of Bookworm Gardens, an imaginative children's garden based on children's literature and the natural environment. Bookworm Gardens sponsored a "Plant a Book" contest in which individuals/families were invited to bring a book to life using props, plants, and creativity. The Oscar the Grouch planter was built by some staff at The Early Learning Center, the 4K school in the Sheboygan Area School District. Oscar won 1st place!!

The planter is based on the book A Day in the Life of Oscar the Grouch,
written by Linda Hayward and illustrated by Bill Davis.
