Appearance
The Appearance sections will develop the overall look of your website. Everything you see on the website can be styled to your preference.
All the appearance options work essentially the same way. Here is a description of each of the icons you'll see in the Appearance sections.
Choosing Colors:
The color box is frequently displayed in Manage Appearance. If you want to choose a color, click on the painters pallette to choose from a list.

Click this icon to bring up the color chooser window on the right. If you know the HTML color code of a specific color you want just type in a "#" symbol followed by the six character code. Otherwise just click on the color you want and the HTML code will fill in automatically.
Once you have selected a color, the box to the right of the color chooser box will fill in with that color. In this example it is red.
If you want the color in that region to be transparent, leave the color box blank. You can also delete a previously entered in color to regain transparency.
Image Backgrounds:
When you see this box, that means an image can be inserted as a background. Clicking on the "Browse" button will bring you to the File Manager. If you already have an image uploaded into your account, you can select the file and the filepath will automatically fill into the image box. You have to upload a file if it is not already in your account.
The repeat option is in the event that the picture you chose as a background is not big enough to fill the whole screen.
repeat: if you want the picture to repeat over the entire screen.
If you choose any of the following three, the remainder of the page not occupied by the image will be the color of your background:
repeat x: if you only want a picture that repeats itself in a strip horizontally.
repeat y: if you only want a picture to repeat in a vertical strip.
no-repeat: if you only want the photo to appear once.
If you choose a photo as a background, the postion option lets you indicate where on the screen the photo should be placed.
The attachment option let's you choose how the picture behaves when the viewer scrolls.
fixed: causes the picture to remain still when the viewer scrolls (the Main Background image on this site is set to fixed).
scroll: the picture will move as the viewer scrolls.
If you already have an image, click the box next to remove image and "save changes." This will remove the image.
Borders:
A border can be added to all sections of your PageBuildr website except the Main Background.
The width option determines the thickness of your border. A number 1-5 usually works the best.
There are several styles of borders you can use with PageBuildr. Play around with these until you find the style of border that suits your taste the best.
You can choose the color of every border you decide to make on your page. This works exactly like all the other color options as described above.
Padding:
When you select a number for the padding, this determines the amount of horizontal space between the the text and the border of the area you are designing. Often, the default of zero will work just fine.
