Jeff Burton – NASCAR Preview

A pack of drivers that are in the secondary level of drivers so far this season are lead by Jeff Burton. Despite leading the race in 4 different races so far this season, 2 top ten finishes have just been finished by Burton so far this year and makes him a favorite with all online sportsbooks.

A big disappointment for the Jeff Burton team was the Race at Martinsville. The race was managed to lead by Burton for 140 laps on the day after starting in the 7th position.  Despite his ability to grab the lead for a large chunk of the race, Burton managed just a 20th place finish after all was said and done.

Online sprint Cup betting favorite, Burton’s finishes are 20th, 10th, 20th, and 3rd in the 4 races that he has held a lead at some point in the car racing.  A third place finish is solid and acceptable, but Burton is going to need to learn how to take a lead and then hold onto it for the rest of the race if he hopes to move up to the next level of drivers this year.

In the year 2000, the glory days of NASCAR betting star Jeff Burton ended. Burton has failed to do so for 9 straight seasons after finishing in the top 5 in the standings for 4 consecutive years.  Since the year 2000, Burton has not won more than 2 races in any season.

The opportunity to turn things around this year and resurrect his career has been with Burton. Whether he can learn to sustain those leads that he has been so successful at taking so far this year is dependent on it.
