Way of the Blog

I am not a Blog junkie.  I do enjoy reading well thought out informative Blogs.  I am sure that mine will be neither well thought out or informative.  I hope mine is at least interesting (note...I did not say good  ).

So what should I wax on about on this genesis blog????  How about a little about me.  Being one of my favorite subjects I think it is a great place to start...Glad I thought of it.

It all started on a stormy night thirty-four years ago....Well actually it was February in California and I have no idea what the weather is like out there at that time of the year...But stick with me on this one.....I like to think I came into this world with a bang, or at least a sharp slap on the ass....

Yes I was born in a city just outside of San Francisco.  We moved to Sheboygan, WI when I was three months old, so I remember nothing.  I went to the Great North High School in Sheboygan.  I graduated Class of '90.  I was a choir/band/drama geek.  I left High School and made my way to the Hallowed Halls of Lakeland College to start my instruction in the noble arts of Music Education.  I was going to teach future choir/band/drama geeks.  Unfortunately I was way-laid by the pixies that have way-laid so many before.  Beer and girls.  I chased one and caught the other.  I will leave it to your imagination as to which.

After trying my hand at this and that, I tried my hand back at college.  I attended Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN in pursuit of a Youth Ministry degree.  This time I was way-laid only by one of the pixies.  Again I will leave it to imagination as to which.  I came back to Lakeland and tried majoring in the very popular degree of undecided.  Ironically I was very good at this major.  After a year I once again went face to face with those pesky pixies.  This time however I went toe to toe with them.  It was a titanic battle, worthy of its place in history.  When the dust settled, I was married.

No more pixies.  Instead I started having children.  Well actually I didn't, my wife did.  In all we have three.  The two oldest are girls.  The youngest is a boy.

As far as career's go, I feel into computers after I got married, and I have been breaking them ever since.  I am also finally finishing my degree, this time in religion.  Since coming back to the world of Higher Ed I have found that I actually enjoy taking classes.  My fellow students don't like me because I am there to learn and I am not concerned with the grade.  If I could throw out my first couple attempts at my degree I would be standing before you with a perfect 4.0 GPA.  Unfortunately all the other crap counts.  Oh well.......

O.K. I have gone on long enough.  Hopefully next time it will be about something more earth shattering.  Something more life changing.  Something that can make the world a better place.  Something like what video games I enjoy....
